Injection: This is the most common and least expensive type of kit to produce. They are designed for the modeler with average skills and can be built "out of the box", or as detailed as you like. Filling, sanding, and painting are required for a quality result.

Resin: Some parts are produced by mixture of chemicals poured into a mold. These are often used with an existing kit to modify the fuselage, wings, or tail to complete a conversion. Resin dust may be harmful and these kits are recommended for the advanced builder only.

Vac-Form: These kits are produced by "drawing" a softened sheet of plastic over a mold through a vacuum process. Parts must be removed from the plastic sheet, sanded to shape, assembled, finished and painted. Many kits include metal props and landing gear.
